Lancelot wanted to get in the donation Jar

To all the paranoid people who were concerned, please hold your comments.  Lance would have put himself head-first into this jar if he was allowed.  Instead a volunteer helped him into the jar in a more comfortable position.  Lance was proud of his special seat and that let him "hide" from the adoption event, just like he would do in one of his boxes.  NO KITTENS WERE HURT, ENDANGERED OR OTHERWISE INCONVENIENCED.

  6. If you had posted this picture the first time you would not have heard any whining!! It’s adorable of Lance! Also, no one knew the back story when the first pic was put on the blog and of course now we do. Please don’t confuse concern with being paranoid, they are not the same

    1. Yes, I found the use of the word "paranoia" a little too fast and insulting. Just as the fact of "adviser" to see a psychiatrist because previous photo heckled us. If we do not know the context of adoption, KR knows not the experience or the health of those who write. Respect should go both ways.

  7. Here, here KR. Anyone that has been following this should know better than to think you would allow any harm to come to these kittens. Thank you so very much KR for all you do for the kittens/cat/puppies and dogs.

  8. Lancelot was obviously just checking for donations. :) I love this pic of him and the other one with his new human. He's such a sweet, funny little guy and I know he and Arthur are going to be showered with love just like they were with KR. xo Tab

  9. I sent you an email via YouTube to explain my feelings, because on Internet, there are only words and the crowd who shouts to "troll", we can neither be heard nor be understood. I regret the aggressive tone that assumes that you are a sensitive person. Me too, and very sensitive to animal rights - and yes, I've seen horrors.

I followed the Kitten Cam for weeks now I did a portrait of Romeo : it was not right to say that I am a malicious person, who seeks only the negative, or who wants to harm simply because I expressed my concern so my anger about a photo !

I repeat here my main point :

"Do not misunderstand me : I felt uncomfortable at the sight of this picture and the wrong message that she could circulate, I do not personally criticized you, or the association, and most importantly, I never implied that you could mistreat animals.
What I tried to say is that my eyes and just by seeing this photo, I was afraid that this little girl take this kitten, Lancelot, for a toy. I have a cat, and I know that sometimes he's looking back in boxes. Sometimes children do not realize their cruelty, and they can dress up cats thinking it is cute and funny. Parents do also error to give an animal as gift to their child, while everyone knows that the child does not assume, and it is for parents to care, to take responsibility.

Sometimes it ends badly. I just fear that this is what happens to Lancelot.

I was angry because of the disproportionate reaction of other Youtubers who treat me as "troll", as I followed the Kitten Cam for weeks and I participed quite regularly ! So yes, I did not understand this story of the jar gift for donations...

All this to say that yesterday, I am sad for this situation, and I regret that aggressive people, or insults, or threats have replaced common sense, understanding, communication.

We are not face to face, communicate or explain on the Internet is very difficult because there are only words, feelings are not visible. And when the crowd of online scream of malice, malevolence, it is impossible to be heard and understood.

I hope you understand that it was the picture that made me uncomfortable, and I never doubted your care to kittens."

    1. Don't worry about it Saga, just leave it be. Even now I think I have to take down this picture again because this discussion is starting again. It was not the little girl's fault. There is nothing malicious in the photo. I understand there was misinterpretation but accusing others of abusing animals is hard to not take personally, so there has to be understanding on your side that how you present your argument could have been less inflammatory, negative and insulting. Accusing a little girl of treating her kitten like a toy or me of exploiting the kitten and posting a picture of a cat being abused can not be interpreted any other way than that, so please do not be upset that others were defending me. The little girl is very considerate about her pet. It is just a picture. A very cute picture.

    2. Ok, I am reassured that you understand that I'm not a bad person, just a little too sensitive ...
And I also understand your reaction though, I repeat, I do not accuse you of abuse - I saw through the Cam that you care for small babies.
It was just a fear, perceived by a photo ...
I feel better, I do not want to be a bad impression, especially as I love the Kitten Cam, Disco Party, I cried when each kitten is gone ... And I miss Cosette and Eponine...

    3. Don't worry Saga. We know you aren't a bad person and love our kitties. Soon we'll have another cam for you to watch, too.

  10. Calm down, girls! You both love animals and always take care them. Please, do not insult one other! U have to join your efforts for animal rigths and continue to save small lives. U are great people and i believe u can do it! Sincelly, Dmitry.

  11. FYI, this photo was taken by a professional photographer who came over because it was so cute and his adorableness was drawing a crowd. Thank you COtography

  12. Saga, please walk away from this argument. You are perpetuating it by continually defending your position. We've agreed to disagree. Leave it at that. To continue your defense is only drawing more attention to yourself.

    1. Being disagreement is one thing, but to insult or defame any person is another. I just wanted to explain my point of view, far from the crowds of the Internet. It was misunderstood and we all got carried away by passion, here. it happens. I do not see why I shall have no right, anonymous (?).

  13. Anyway, I am reassured, and I am very happy that Lancelot - and Arthur ! - live in a loving family.
    And the others too ^^

  14. This is such an adorable picture!!! :)

This is the kind of picture that animal charities would love to use in their promotional materials.... Or the kind that might show up in a calendar or on the front of a greeting card someday!

  15. I think the picture is adorable. I thought the first one was also. Kittens are very inquisitive and love small places. This just happened to be a clear glass. He was not upside down and did not look like he was in distress. Lancelot just looked like a curious kittie doing what kittens do. He is a great inspiration for donations. Keep up the good work.

  16. I think this is hilarious! It's like Sir Lancelot is saying "Whatz? You neveh seen a kitteh in a jar B4?" As a huge fan of the kitten cam, I admire all that you do.

  18. I thought both pictures were so cute! Hope the little girl or her parents don't feel bad about any of this experience because of anything that was said here. So happy she and her family opened their hearts to two wonderful little kittens.

  19. I see YOU removed all comments from 4/17/13 , this is your problem! You don’t allow decent, disagreement! Don’t let others have a voice! ONLY YOU SHOULD BE HEARD!

    2. Ha! I just realized who posted this. George, I am impressed that your grammar is getting better, but I can still tell its you. Leave us alone please. No one needs or wants your conspiracy theories. Try and focus on something else and things can get better for you. We don't want to get you in trouble but we absolutely will bring attention to your harrassment again.
