Cam Star Updates: Merlyn (Maya) and Miss Hugo (Wink)

Hello!
We adopted Merlyn a month ago and renamed her Maya. She is an amazing animal. She adapted very well and took over the whole house. Her favorite new toy is her older brother's tail and her favorite place to sleep is on my pillow.
Maya is fearless...she is the bravest little kitten I have ever seen. We had to kitty proof the house because she was trying to take big jumps that were too high even for our older cat. She is such a cuddler and perfect in so many ways. This kitty wants to play, cuddle, bite, attack, purr and be held all in the same time.
We loved her since the first day we brought her home.

Big Kitty Rescue and Newborns

Last night a transport delivered 18 cats and kittens to fosters of A Second Chance Puppies & Kittens Rescue from Lousianna and Alabama.  They all came from high-kill gassing shelters but are safe and sound now.

This beautiful pregnant flame point Siamese mix, with one traditional Siamese blue (albino) eye and one gold eye held her babies in her belly just long enough for the long trip from Louisianna.

Three hours after arriving at her foster home, she gave birth to three beautiful babies.

The Great Naming Debate

Mom has been named:  Gaia (or Gaïa....rhymes with Hiya!).  It means mother earth and we think it is pretty and very fitting for our lovely mom.

The kids consist of 5 girls and 2 boys.  The two possible themes:  Sci-fi (space-y sci-fi) or the names of heavenly bodies/space objects.

For the sci-fi characters, I'm building a list.  Here is what I have so far:

The Space Kittens Land On The Moon

It was all systems go for touch down on the lunar surface.  Our intrepid explorers, 7 fuzzy babies and Commander Mom, are getting used to the altered gravity and exploring their surroundings.
